Programs Thematic Focus

Poverty Reduction:

As we all know that Poverty has many dimensions and SYF has its own program to address all these dimensions. SYF supports the Livelihood program with the main goal to improve livelihood opportunities of the marginalized communities through Skill Enhancement, Enterprise Development, and Human Resources Management.

SYF also put emphasis on the sustainable human and institutional development of civil society, elected representatives through advocacy, capacity building and knowledge management.

Moreover SYF especially focuses on the Skill of the women to be developed and their income enhanced through women entrepreneurship.

Literacy and Skill:

Literacy is considered as the main pillars that guarantees the development of a society. Literacy combined with skill play a vital role in the development of any segments of the society. Therefore keeping in mind the significance of Literacy & Skill Swat Youth Front is operating 37 Non Formal Basic Schools, three Public Private Partnership colleges (PPC Colleges), School of Arts and learning institute for employment (Life).

Disaster Management:

Reduce vulnerability of disaster prone communities through relief & rehabilitation and promoting disaster preparedness skills and practices.

Capacity Building of Local NGOs and CBOs:

In Malakand Region there are more than 2500 registered Civil Society Organizations but majority of them, being in remote areas, have no access to trainings, information and experience sharing for their own capacity building. Therefore SYF strives to enhance the capacity building of these organizations through publications, information sharing, trainings and networking

Peace and Human Rights:

As we all know that rights are inherent in our nature and without which we cannot live. SYF strives to enable the public of the area to develop fully and use their human qualities, their intelligence and their talents and their conscious and to satisfy their spiritual and other needs. Create conditions of social and political justice, non violence and free conflict environment among different social group to ensure a Prosperous, peaceful, enlighten and justice based society.

Thus SYF focuses to initiate an organized campaign for promoting holistic understanding and maximizing knowledge of general public about universal declaration of human rights through dialogues, Awareness campaigns and seminars.
